Versatile Work
"As a Van Technician, my days are always very varied. Every day is different, from changing tires to repairing gearboxes—everything comes up. Additionally, we work with all European van brands and different types of vehicles.
Besides being a technician, I’m also a Tachograph Specialist and an APK Inspector. This makes my job even more varied; calibrating trucks and conducting APK inspections regularly come up in my workweek. This variety in both my tasks and the vehicles makes working as a technician at Kleyn so enjoyable."

Investing in Knowledge and Well-being
"I started here as a technician in 2019, but I have since obtained various training and certifications. In addition to being a Tachograph Specialist and APK Inspector, I recently earned my Electric Vehicles (EV) certification. Even though there are currently few second-hand electric vans available, we already have this knowledge in-house. Kleyn values this highly. Additionally, investment is not only in employees’ knowledge but also in our well-being. For example, no expense is spared on hoists for parts, and the fridge is always stocked with soft drinks.

Working in the Workshop
"There is a great atmosphere in the workshop; we help each other, and there’s always time for a chat. You are also free to do your work in your own way, and we do not work with standard procedures. Even if we wanted to, it’s almost impossible due to the many different brands we work with. Working without standard procedures allows you to figure out how to perform a repair on your own, and we work without time limits. This works very well for me."
