Job description

Welcome to Kleyn!

Over the past 105 years, the Kleyn Group has grown to become the leading partner in used trucks, trailers, vans and parts. Working at Kleyn means being part of a group of professionals who are all experts in their own field. Together, we form a powerful team that is driven to offer all our customers, wherever they are in the world, the most suitable solution for their mobility needs.

Truckparts1919 (TP1919) is an independent company under the wing of the Kleyn Group in Vuren. The year 1919 in the name refers to the founding of Kleyn Trucks and testifies to stability, job security and expertise in a family business. Whereas the Kleyn Group focuses on the sale of used trucks, trailers and vans, Truckparts1919 focuses on the global trade of new and used parts, both in the 12V and 24V segments. Circular and sustainable trade, in other words!

Your challenge

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our dismantling team! In this versatile position, you will work with different brands of lorries on a daily basis. You will ensure that vehicles are carefully dismantled so that individual parts can be resold or reused. You will mainly be working outside and in the warehouse. No two days are the same: one moment you will be removing an engine block from a lorry, the next you will be sorting parts or helping to prepare materials.

Are you someone who doesn't like to sit still, likes to roll up their sleeves and doesn't mind getting dirty? Then you are exactly the person we are looking for!

Daily tasks include:

  • Dismantling trucks according to set procedures;

  • Checking and sorting parts for sale or reuse;

  • Working with colleagues in the warehouse and on site;

  • Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace.

Your team
As a Dismantling Employee, you will essentially work for Kleyn Services in a team of three employees, but you will perform many of your tasks for TP1919. Kleyn and TP1919 are two dynamic and pleasant companies that work closely together. Together, they form a strong organisation that currently employs around 170 enthusiastic employees.

You will be working in an environment where collegiality and teamwork are key. There is an informal atmosphere where everyone knows each other and where there is room for personal development. Whether you are working outside dismantling trucks or sorting and preparing parts in the warehouse, you will be part of a close-knit team that works together to achieve the best results.

What you bring

  • You have an affinity with automotive and/or truck parts;

  • You are eager to learn and technically minded;

  • You speak Dutch or fluent English;

  • You have a practical attitude and do not mind physical work;

  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty.

What you can count on

  • A no-nonsense culture where your input really counts;

  • A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment;

  • A good salary, in line with the position and responsibilities;

  • A biannual bonus paid out when the organisation performs well and you perform well personally;

  • Various opportunities for training, education and personal development;

  • A good pension scheme with PMT and 24 days of holiday;

  • The option to participate in group insurance schemes;

  • The best quarterly drinks parties in the region.
