From intern to IT administrator (and cap collector)
From resolving tickets to keeping systems running: together with the IT team, Tico ensures everything at Kleyn keeps operating smoothly. Four years ago, he started as an intern; today, he has grown into the role of IT administrator. And yes—you can easily spot his workspace by the collection of Kleyn caps on the wall. "I’ve got all Kleyn caps lined up here. I think that’s really cool."
No Day Without a Challenge
A typical workday for Tico usually starts the same way: first checking tickets, then grabbing a cup of coffee. “After that, I get started on management tasks to keep everything here running smoothly.” But what the rest of the day looks like? He never knows in advance. “Sometimes you’re working on something and suddenly have to switch quickly because something else takes priority.”
It’s exactly that dynamic that makes the job enjoyable. “You see everyone passing by here and talk to a lot of people. That makes it a great atmosphere.” At Kleyn, the vibe is open and approachable. “It’s easy to drop by someone’s desk, and you often get an answer to your question right away.”
Proud of what happends behind the scenes
Although much of IT work takes place behind the scenes, Tico sees the results of his work every day. One project he is especially proud of is the comprehensive network diagram he created for the company. “We had a lot of documentation, but I made everything clear and structured so we now know exactly what our network looks like.”
He also continues to develop himself. After completing his studies, he immediately moves on to a Microsoft certification. “There’s always room to keep learning here. That’s what makes it enjoyable too.”
A great atmosphere and room to grow
According to Tico, Kleyn is above all a great place to work because colleagues are always willing to go the extra mile for each other. “We’re busy, but it’s also really enjoyable. We can achieve anything together.” And that doesn’t just apply during work hours. One of his favorite memories? “The pizza get-together. Really amazing pizzas.”
